EXPERIENCE
Mr. Strauss has been providing litigation consulting services for plaintiff and defense attorneys since 1974.
He has testified hundreds of times in circuit, state, and Federal courts. Though based in the Washington, D.C. area, Mr. Strauss has traveled throughout the country to conduct onsite assessments of severely injured persons. During his 30 years of practice, Mr. Strauss has evaluated over a thousand adults with various types of disabilities. This work typically involves analysis of transferable skills, labor market studies and establishment of residual earnings capacity. In the early 1990's, Mr. Strauss evaluated dozens of severely neurologically impaired children adversely affected by the DPT vaccine and since then has gained much experience working on pediatric cases with an emphasis on brain-injured babies. Though his strength in the areas of evaluating earnings capacity and Life Care Planning focuses on clients with physical and cognitive disabilities, from 2001-2003, Mr. Strauss was involved in a project evaluating over 100 persons in Canada suffering from PTSD as a result of sexual abuse. He is currently working on a project involving the assessment of persons in California that were abused by priests. Mr. Strauss has also contracted with Federal agencies including the Social Security Administration, Railroad Retirement Board, Department of Justice, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Public Health Service, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
