EXPERIENCE
Mr. Smolarski has 23 years of experience in the vocational rehabilitation of disabled and occupationally displaced individuals. He possesses expertise in the following areas: Economic Loss of Earning Capacity ; Economic Loss ; Lost Income (includes future value, present value, benefits and household chores); Work Capacity Evaluation (includes assessment of lifting at full range of motion, fine finger dexterity, manual dexterity, motor coordination and tool usage); Transferable Skills Analysis ; Vocational Testing (includes achievement, aptitude, interest and personality testing); Job Analysis ; Medical Case Management (Life Care Planning) ; Job Accommodation and Labor Market Surveys . He has participated as an expert witness in numerous trials and depositions for both plaintiff and defense attorneys in District, Circuit and Federal Courts. Mr. Smolarski has an extensive clinical background in rehabilitation, orthopedics and neurological disabilities. He is on the editorial board for the Caregiver Education Guide for Children with Developmental Disabilities. Mr. Smolarski conducted research on inter-rater reliability and its relationship to vocational quotient and prediction of earning capacity. He worked in Belize, Central America as a rehabilitation counselor under the Surgeon General of Belize and with UNICEF.
