EXPERIENCE

Mr. Preston is the founder and President of Preston Rehab Consulting, a rehabilitation consulting firm that provides neuro-rehabilitation consulting, life care planning, case management and expert testimony for insurance companies and law firms. He is a Qualified Vocational Expert with the Social Security Administration's Office of Hearings and Appeals and a Qualified Rehabilitation Professional through the North Carolina Industrial Commission. Mr. Preston has been in the field of rehabilitation since 1987 and has developed and managed a specialized vocational rehabilitation program component of a private community re-entry facility for adolescents and adults with acquired brain injury (ABI). He has published several peer-reviewed articles on vocational rehabilitation issues for those with ABI and continues to provide educational presentations in settings ranging from insurance companies to major medical centers and graduate school programs. Mr. Preston is the Past President of the North Carolina chapter of the National Association of Rehabilitation Professional in the Private Sector (NC-NARPPS) and served as Acting President and Vice-President of the Triangle chapter of North Carolina Association of Rehabilitation Insurance Professionals (NCARIP) for four years. He is a founding member of the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina's Professional Council and has been a member of the Brain Injury Association since 1987.
